Vacancy: Chairperson for the European Hyperloop Center Foundation (m/f)

The European Hyperloop Center (EHC), located in Veendam, represents a leading project within the Hyperloop Development Program (HDP) and comprises a 420-meter test track including a switch and a knowledge center. Managed by the Foundation EHC, established in May 2020, and primarily funded by Hardt Hyperloop, SNN subsidi, and the HDP, the EHC is on the brink of a new phase in the development of hyperloop technology.

The HDP, a collaborative initiative initiated by a group of pioneers within the hyperloop ecosystem, aims to promote the technical and social acceptance of the hyperloop. Supported by approximately 15 private partners and a government contribution of 4.5 million euros, this public-private initiative strives to elevate hyperloop technology to a higher level of readiness (TRL9).

Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic Chairperson to become the face of the hyperloop industry in the region. Your primary responsibility is to increase the visibility of the EHC at the regional level and to promote the integration of the hyperloop into policy documents within the Northern region and Lower Saxony. In close collaboration with the Director and supported by a Public Affairs Manager, you play a crucial role in securing future funding and expanding the regional ecosystem.

Profile:

  • Excellent network in the political and administrative landscape of the region.

  • Dutch native speaking and with a strong connection to the region of Groningen.

  • Strong affinity with mobility, sustainability, and innovation.

  • Experience in leading complex innovation programs within public-private partnerships.

  • More than 15 years of relevant work experience.

  • Enthusiastic and inspiring personality.
